Why we chose to work with Hemp!
The popularity of natural Hemp body care products has grown exponentially over the past few years. However, it has been a part of ancient Ayurvedic medicine for centuries due to its healing properties. We derive our Hemp Oil from the lush fields of Uttarakhand and use cold-pressed Hemp Seed Oil in our products. The answer to why we have chosen to use Hemp as the base in our products is two-fold!
Firstly, Hemp skin care products have a multitude of exceptional benefits for the skin, for the following reasons - Hemp is non-comedogenic! This means that Hemp beauty products have the ability to seep into the deeper layers of your skin without clogging your pores. Only a non-comedogenic ingredient can provide hydration without the risks of acne, blackheads and whiteheads. It also balances the oil production in your skin.
Hemp Oil also consists of an abundance of GLA (Gamma-Linoleic Acid) which is a powerful anti-inflammatory and encourages skin growth and new cell generation. This helps keep skin ailments like Eczema and Psoriasis at bay. Furthermore, the Linoleic and Oleic Acid present in Hemp have anti-ageing properties. By application and consumption, these fatty acids play an important role is decreasing and preventing the signs of ageing.

Another reason we chose to add Hemp in our herbal beauty products is because it aligns perfectly with our earth-friendly values. Hemp is considered to be nature’s purifier. It’s a more effective sequester of carbon dioxide than trees! It quickly captures carbon dioxide and purifies it to produce the air we breathe.
Apart from this, it is one of the fastest growing plants alongside bamboo and is an extremely hardy plant – not requiring fertilizer or pesticides to thrive. Industrial Hemp has a number of uses including health foods, organic body care, clothing, construction materials, biofuels, plastic composites and more! It also enriches the soil where it grows; leaving it more regenerated than it was prior to its growth and decomposition.
